| ABOUT US | |
| BadFormat is a group of people that work together to create cool stuff and present opportunities for creative output for its members.
This is based on social networking and bringing the buzz from the internet into the real world - the sense of empowerment and freedom that comes with sites like Facebook and Twitter This has already manifested itself in BadFormat! Magazine - A pure web 2.0 publication - written by its readership, it's a true representation of the state of things, without censorship or prejudice. And now we have BadFormat! Social Club. Its roots really are in social clubs of times past, which were developed in order to educate and provide space for activities and social gatherings for workers and the underprivileged. They quickly turned into glorified public houses but its rules of membership encouraged a sense of community and belonging, similar to how social networking works today. In the future the club will be members only as we really do want the club to become a living breathing social club, working together to make a place we can call ours. We will provide amazing live shows, banging dj sets, refined lectures, supported workspace, cinema and cabaret evenings and anything else we all can think of. We want the membership actively involved in the our events, developing clubnights, workshops, and lectures. We will also offer services such as free wi-fi, printing services, computer hardware and software support during the day from September, as part of a coffee culture workspace; enabling our members to meet up, talk and work in a great place with the support of the Social Staff. Things have changed, we're not trying to educate, we're not trying to do anything but provide a space where people with creative tendencies can work, rest and play in safety. We've lost something in Liverpool, we used to think of certain places in town as our homes, but driven by the success of their great alternative scenes, these homes have now turned into the homes of theirs... of them... of they... BadFormat! Social Club is your's... |
